This spring I worked on a Joyful Bride-inspired shoot with several amazing Asheville wedding vendors that I'm finally able to share! Kat Warner spear-headed the concept of a bride reveling in the joy of her wedding, feeling carefree and colorful during her bridal portrait session. Everything -- from the balloons, to the floral confetti, to the frothy ball gown and the geometric glass of the MegaDome -- was coordinated, styled, and designed to appeal to today's modern bride; the bride who desires her wedding to be fun, memorable, unique, and...well...Pinterest worthy.
And...drum roll please....Bespoke Bride loved it so much they featured this happy little styled shoot of ours! Click here to see their take on this non-traditional approach to a bridal session.
Why Every Bride Should Do A Bridal Shoot
Bridal shoots have been around for ages, often an opportunity to secure photos of the future MRS in her wedding dress to display at the reception. Recently they've grown beyond the gown into more creative experiences, stylized to connote more of the bride's personality. But as always, bridal portrait sessions provide the bride with a little "me before the we" time, to revel in her fairy tale without distracting noise, stress, or outside influences. They create space for the bride to live out precious, milestone moments with her mother, best friends, or even by herself. And whether or not you're the type to label them as princess vibes, a bridal shoot will undoubtedly leave you feeling as close to royalty as you can ever imagine.
The Creatives and Visionaries
The planner. This was my first time working with Kat Warner and I can't tell you how incredibly sweet, caring, and thoughtful she is regarding every person and every detail. Her and her husband, Benjamin, are special people and have clearly found their calling -- their vision and execution of dream weddings are absolutely amazing!
The photographer. I also had the pleasure of shooting with Kathy Beaver, one of my favorite local photographers. She does it all -- weddings, families, seniors -- and has a knack for nailing "THE" shot that conveys the spirit and specialness of the moment. We did a mommy-daughter shoot with her last year that was such an incredible experience. You'll love Kathy for her work but you'll LOVE Kathy for her sweet, down-to-earth personality.
Honestly, I could gush about all the vendors who worked on this bridal shoot. Every one brought their A game, which is no surprise when you know who I'm talking about. These are some of Asheville's best-of-the-best in the wedding industry and I was honored to be part of this with them.
