Instagram TV: Try-On Episode Details
Hey y'all! I just published a brand new episode on Instagram TV featuring loads of new purchases for fall. You can watch the video HERE. I'll try and include some of the same notes here in this post, but I recommend watching the video if you want the full rundown of what makes each piece so great. The most expensive item in the whole episode is $115 and is arguably the best piece of all, so lots of great budget-friendly items to check out!
And, if you do watch the video, just know that my mantra is "done is better than perfect." I value sharing the information with you more than making it look like a video production team made it at this point. Hopefully as I get more equipment I can improve the quality. For now, it'll be a work in progress that one day we'll (hopefully) look back on and think 'remember in the beginning when things were a little rough around the edges' hahaha!
Ladies, it's true. Barefoot Dreams really is everything it's hyped up to be. I wear this thing on a daily basis (like right now as I type this in my post-Pilates clothes). Wear with pjs, or loungewear, or with jeans or a dress. It can be worn so many ways! It's a bit pricey but I guarantee you will NOT be sad you spent the money on this cardigan; you'll love it the first minute you put it on.
New mamas, you will love this piece. I wish I had owned it when Harlow was a newborn and I was sleep-deprived and breastfeeding and just trying to find a moment's peace in any given day. This cardigan feels like a snuggle hug, has pockets for all your baby paraphernalia, and disguises the fugly nursing tank you've been wearing for the last two days.
Fit: Runs TTS, if between sizes go down. I'm wearing a XS/S.
Softest. Pants. Ever. Five o'clock now means a glass of wine, slippers, and these pants. I wear them out and about, too, on daily errands or shuttling Harlow around. Wear with a cute pair of sandals or sneakers for an athleisure look. I want them in black, too!
Fit: Runs small, I sized up to a Medium.
Remember this piece I raved about during the sale?? It's restocked in all colors, including this taupe shade they call 'Mushroom.' The soft, buttery fabric of this piece, combined with its dress up/dress down versatility, makes this one of my fave pieces for fall. It has pockets (yay!) and can be buttoned on the shoulder to create a cowl neck effect. Also comes in black and burgundy.
FWIW, they just released a shorter version in loads of colors like a honey tan, light pink, and olive. It has the same drape-front lapels but hits at the waist and zips.
Fit: Runs TTS, I'm wearing a Small.
Looking for a nice blouse that doesn't require dry cleaning? This is the one for you, not to mention it's just $27. The fabric is so light and falls beautifully on your body, and is thin enough to tuck in to pants without creating bulge. The full tunic length is nice when you want to wear it with leggings or skinny pants. It's a great option for dressy or office wear, as well as casual use.

Okay, y'all. This is not the actual Gucci belt even though it looks like it. It's from Amazon, which somewhat shockingly stocks several G belt knock offs. I got the thin black one first and then wanted both a brown belt and one that's more of a standard size. This belt looks SO nice in person. You'd need a very discerning eye to know it isn't the real thing. Plus it comes with a tool to poke a hole in the leather if it doesn't fit tightly enough.
Fit: N/A, adjustable, comes with tool to create additional holes if needed
Google 'wardrobe staples' and you'll probably see striped shirt on several lists. It's a basic that French girls taught us looks extra chic worn by itself, under blazers, with denim, what have you. It sold out during the sale (because it was $11) and now it's full price for a whopping $17, so still incredibly doable. I like the fit and length a lot for tucking into pants, and it's a looser fit which I like bc I don't like clingy t-shirts. Is it my favorite t-shirt of all time? Probably not, but it's a great option and very affordable.

We all need some print in our wardrobes to liven things up now and then. It's hard to go wrong with a good floral print, especially when it's on a blouse that can be worn two ways. Wear it on your shoulders or pull it down for an off-the-shoulder look.
Nursing moms: this is another great piece for you! Don't get trapped buying all official nursing clothing, or button-fronts, or wrap silhouettes. A good off-the-shoulder top with elastic around the neckline will do the trick SO easily and make you feel a little more current with the fashion times.

Another item that sold out and I finally found in the waning hours of the sale. It's totally worth it full price, too, though. It looks like an expensive piece for a sweater ringing in just under $60. It's not cropped per se but it's not long either so if you have an extra long torso this might not be for you. It's also really soft and flattering. I may need another color in this one, that's how good it is.
Fit: Debatable. I ordered a Medium because I prefer slouchy sweaters and wanted extra length. Nordstrom recommends going down a size and I say don't do that. Either get your typical size or go up if you want a looser fit.
Wow, this skirt totally stole my heart. I saw it on another blogger and liked it enough to try it. It's better than I thought it would be ten fold. It's so flattering on and hits right at my waist. The outside of the skirt is real suede and feels really nice. It's a great piece to wear to events, to work (depending on your dress code), or to get drinks. I love it with sneakers, heeled sandals, mules, and boots! Lots of options with this one, and it comes in a camel tan, too.
Fit: TTS, I ordered a 27. If between sizes go up.
